It's Baby Time!!!

Today is the day! Finally after 9 months of all of us waiting (especially Sheila!) Ansleigh Grace will make her debut sometime today or tomorrow! Sheila is being induced early this morning & we are praying for a safe, speedy delivery! Can't wait to see her little face & take lots of pictures!!! YAY! I am so excited!!! Gotta head to the hospital now!!!!

What a busy weekend I have had! Saturday was the bridesmaid luncheon for the wedding I am in next weekend & D-D is the ring bearer! (How cute will he be, you better believe there will be a TON of pics from that!) Then today (Sunday) was my bff, Sheila's baby shower! Sheila is due Christmas Eve with my precious niece, Ansleigh Grace, who we just can't wait to meet! In the mean time we had a great time celebrating her soon-to-be debut! Ansleigh's nursery is pink & green so we stayed with that same theme & it turned out SOOOO cute! Here's just a few pics, enjoy!!

Changes

What is it about summer that makes us so busy I don't have time to breathe let alone blog! Oh how I have missed you ladies! Our laptop is on the fritz so we set up the desktop because I was going through some serious withdrawal's not being able to check blogger & facebook! It's an addiction I tell you! So finally at almost midnight I am finding a few minutes to update you on our lives!

The boys are doing great, S-Man's eye is finally healed up. And of course D-D never had a thing wrong with him, he just took out his big brother! I think I am in for many more ER visits with those 2!

We are in the countdown for when S-man goes back to school! T-minus 3 weeks! He is so excited! We went & got all his school supplies the other night & he just can't wait! I can't wait to find out who his teacher is, a lot of his friends from last year have already heard, so I am hoping soon to hear! Don't want to be one of those mom's who calls & bugs the school but if I don't hear soon, that just may happen!

My BFF Sheila found out she is having a little girl! I am so excited for her & can't wait to meet my new niece! Or should I say daughter in law, cause if we had it our way she would be getting hitched to one of my boys years from now! LOL!! I can dream right!

Now on for some exciting news & changes for our family!!! After a lot of prayer & talking we have decided to start the process to adopt!!!!!! I can't tell you how excited this makes me! If you have been reading my blog for long then you know from these post, or this one that I have really struggled with our family size. Desperately desiring another baby but being unable to carry anymore myself. My dream has always been to adopt specifically from China, however the laws now are crazy ridiculous on who can adopt & all the MANY, MANY hoops you have to jump through. So one afternoon while doing my quiet time it hit me that there are a bunch of children right here in our "own backyard" that need homes too. The GD & I prayed long & hard about it & decided that this is the route we felt lead to go. Thankfully I have a friend of a friend that works for DHR in our area & I was able to talk to her for awhile & feel much more confident! I sent in our paper work this week & am just waiting to here if we are accepted or not. Then comes the 10 weeks of classes, plus a CPR training class, not to mention tons of more paperwork, & a home study. Then the waiting continues! We are hoping for a little girl younger than D-D as to not mess with the birth order we have now. I am so excited I can hardly stand it! One thing I am worried about is the waiting, I am not the most patient person, so I know this will be a learning experience for me!

Can I ask for you all to be praying for us? Pray for everything to go smooth if this is truly what God wants for us. Pray for the child that is meant to be ours. Pray for our family to adjust. Pray for peace! I am so excited to see God's plan in all of this!!!! For now that's where we are, but I will be updating more as time goes on! Thank you friends!!!!!!!

Update

I know I know I disappeared again! I am sorry, kinda... I have missed you guys but I have really enjoyed the time I have been spending with my family! We have been so busy & just loving on each other! The GD is at youth camp this week so I have been doing the single parent thing, which let me tell you ain't fun! I am very ready for him to be home tomorrow, as are the boys! Then we have a long weekend at home since the GD is off on Monday! I can't wait!

Last week one of my bff from FL (where I grew up) came up for a visit! It was so good to see her & spend time with her! Let me tell you she loves my boys so much like they are her own! (Which is really good considering she is second in line to get them should something happen to us!) We had a great time catching up & having some girl time! I wish she lived closer then we could really get into some trouble!! LOL!

Talk about getting into some trouble, tomorrow is my bff Sheila's birthday as well as my Mom's birthday! Talk about good timing! I won't talk about how old my Mom will be but Sheila is hitting a big one this year the big 30!!! I am so not giving her a hard time because I will be there before too long!

Sheila is such an amazing friend, mother, wife, sister, daughter! I could talk about her for hours & what she means to me but I will just point you to this post I wrote a little about her! Happy Birthday She-She! We Love You!!!!!!!!!

And to my Momma, I wish we could be there for your birthday! Sorry we are apart but I hope you have a fabulous day & enjoy every second of it! Again I could go on & on about her & what she means to me but just read this post I wrote at Mothers Day for her! I love you so much! Happy Birthday Mom!

Kidney Foundation Walk

This past Saturday was the Annual Kidney Walk we started participating in last year for my nephew Caden. If you saw this post before you know his story & how he was born with Chronic Renal Insufficiency. He is such a precious boy & I take great honor in being able to walk for him! Unfortunately I was hit with my migraines this weekend & was unable to make it. My wonderful GD, S-Man, & D-D went without me & had a great time! The GD & D-D even made the paper! Here is the article (which doesn't mention them or Caden just the walk in general) & this is the picture... We are so proud of Caden & the amazing story he has! God has truly touched him & I believe God has major plans for this little man! Love you Caden!!!!!

Finally I can let you all know who's prego! My BFF Sheila!!!!!!!!!!! I am just so excited for her, if some of you remember she's the one who had the ectopic pregnancy in December right after we lost a baby! What a hard time that was! But to God be ALL the Glory, Sheila is expecting!!!!! Go over & congratulate her! She is over the moon excited that it's all working out but still can use prayers for a healthy pregnancy!!!!

Thankful Thursday!

I am sure somewhere out in this great big bloggy world there is a Thankful Thursday, so I am going to just jump into it today! Because I am soooooo thankful for my friends! I can't tell you how much they mean to me! All of my family live in FL so my girlfriends are vital to me! I could never express how much they mean to mean but I am going to try! Trust me when I say this post could go on forever but in the hope of not keeping it too long, I am going to only do 2 today! Maybe this is what I should start doing on Thursday's, being thankful for certain friends! I see an idea brewing...oh wait I digress! Thankful Thursday...

First up is my bff She-She, as my kids call her! The first time we met, was right after the GD & I had gotten engaged & were visiting his family. After the first time we met I told the GD that I thought we would be great friends! Unbeknown-st to me, she told him the same thing a few weeks later! We got married just 3 weeks apart & became fast friends! When we moved here I knew only her & she totally took me in! She cracks me up so much, & I really don't know what I would do without her! We can get into all kinds of trouble but we have fun doing it! Goodness knows our husbands have their hands full when we are together, who knows what will happen on our 5 day cruise! She has been there for me through some of the hardest times of my life in the last 7 yrs! I know there are some friends that come & go but I know we will truly be friends forever. Causing trouble in the nursing home! She is truly like the sister I never wanted had! One of the greatest memories of my life was being able to be in the room when her son was born. It was a such a great experience & one that I know I will never forget! I love you She! Thank you for being my friend!

Next up is Angie, I can't tell you how much this woman means to me! She is always there with a listening ear & hug to give away! We have known each other a little over 4 yrs from church, but really just became friends in the last year or so. Let me tell you the strength this momma has...6 kids! Yep 6! I can't even imagine, her oldest is 19 & just got engaged & her youngest is 6! I couldn't even count the number of times I have called her & asked how something worked at the school our kids attend! I know I probably drive her crazy, but she has been through it all & I am just starting out! I wouldn't know how half the stuff about how the school works if it weren't for her! She is always there for when I call & ask her to pick up S-Man from school for me. And never bats an eye! Yesterday she was generous enough to pick him up, take him home with her, & then drop him off with his Daddy at church! Just so I didn't have to get D-D out again! What an awesome friend is she! The one thing I wish she knew is how wonderful she is, she doesn't believe it but I DO! She has such amazing strength, love, concern, selflessness, generosity & so much more! I honestly believe that if I needed it, she would give me the shirt off her back. There are very few people in this world that are like that & I know she is one! Thank you my friend for....well for just being you!!!
