Christmas Morning

I know I have been slackin' big time not having any Christmas pictures up! It has been such a busy week! Right before Christmas I got sick & then the GD got it! Thankfully by Christmas morning we were feeling better! The boys had such a great Christmas & got lots of stuff! We do the 3 gifts (from us) for the boys plus stockings, like how Jesus got 3 gifts from the wise men. Really we just try to make the boys realize that this is Jesus' birthday & yes you do get gifts but this is about Jesus. So anyway they got this big airplane hanger as a combined gift & then they each got a car or a helicopter or something to go with it along with a bunch of the Rescue Hero men! It was a huge gift! That doesn't even count the gifts they got from grandparents, aunt, cousins, friends! They racked up!

I managed to do pretty good myself! My wonderful GD surprised me with 2 new Willow Tree's & the movie "PS I love you". We had decided not to do gifts for each other this year because money is so tight. We did decide about a week before Christmas to do 1 gift for each other, him shoes, me the movie. But Christmas Eve rolls around & we are dragging all the boys stuff out to put under the tree...and what do I see...several more boxes for me! Don't get me wrong I love that he surprised me but I hate that I didn't have more for him than shoes! Oh well, I guess I will have to make it up to him at his birthday! Anyway, we had a great Christmas & I pray you all did too! Enjoy a few of the pics from Christmas morning!

Catching up!

Good afternoon ladies! Thought I would catch up on the going-ons in our house this week! We are starting to get ready for my parents coming in this weekend! I am so excited, for several reasons! First of all because I get to see them & since they live 8 hrs away we only get to see them a few times a year! And second because this is the first year they are coming here for Christmas! The GD & I have been married for 6 Christmas's & this is the first one where we are not having to travel! We are so excited about just being able to be at our home for Christmas! The downside is I don't get to see my grandparents, aunt, cousins, friends etc, but it's so nice to not have to travel this year! I really could go on & on about how excited we are but I think you get the drift!

So we are having to get the house clean & all the laundry caught up, etc! I love my Mom dearly & she is my mom & my friend, but that woman is OCD when it comes to cleaning! I always freak out before she gets here because I feel like my house clean is her house dirty! I call her the 'white glove' lady! In fun...kinda! Anyway it's going to be a busy end of the week for us! Tomorrow is S-Man's Christmas party at school & then Friday he gets out at 12:30, so that will complicate the cleaning process some! But I will get it done, I always do!

Let's see other than that we are just enjoying the Christmas season! I am done with shopping except picking up one little thing for my Mom & Dad! Of course it's easy to get done when your broke & don't have much to spend! LOL!

One perk of GD's job at the church is they close the office for the week of Christmas & the week of New Years, so he only has to go in 1 day a week! I figure it's a trade off for ALL those nights & weekends he works earlier in the month! We are very much looking forward to have the GD home with us! So not to exciting but that brings you up to date! I am sure you will hear from me again but just in case!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry SITSmas!

If you hop over to SITS you will see that they have a fun bloggy Christmas card party going on! There really aren't any rules to it, just do whatever you want to make your Christmas card & then post it on your blog! Then hop over to SITS & link up so you can get lots of bloggy cheer! Plus they are giving away presents all day tomorrow, the grand prize is a $200 gift card to Target! Who couldn't use that?

Luke 1:8-14 "And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ
the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

A Baby Changes Everything!

Has anybody else heard this new song by Faith Hill? I love this song! It's just so beautiful the way it shows how Mary must have been feeling. Can you imagine? Pregnancy is amazing & you love every kick, every moment! But imagine carrying the Son of God! The One sent to save us all! I can't even imagine the pressure she must have felt, & yet the extreme amount of favor God had in her! What an awesome responsibility! I have always said she is one of the women I would love to listen too in heaven. I would not even want to speak, just listen.

I put the lyrics on here & video below, if you haven't heard it yet! (Don't forget to mute my playlist at the bottom before starting the video!)
I would love to know what you all think of the song as well!

"A Baby Changes Everything" by Faith Hill

Teenage girl, much too young
Unprepared for what's to come
A baby changes everything

Not a ring, on her hand
All her dreams and all her plans
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything

The man she loves she's never touched
How will she keep his trust
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything

And she cries, oh she cries

She has to leave, go far away
Heaven knows she can't stay
A baby changes everything

She can feel it's coming soon
There's no place, there's no room
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything

And she cries and she cries O she cries

Shepherds all gather 'round
Up above the star shines down
A baby changes everything

Choir of Angels sing
Glory to the newborn king
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything
Everything, everything, everything

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

My whole life is turned around
I was lost and now I'm found
A baby changes everything
A baby changes everything

Not Me Monday

YAY!! It's my favorite day of the week, for this reason only! If you haven't joined in the fun over at MckMama's blog, then hop over & check it out! So here's my NMM...

*I did not change my blog background AGAIN!!!! Why in the world would I keep changing it? That's just silly!

*I did not spend all Friday afternoon/evening helping my best friend, decorate her house for Christmas! All the while LOVIN' the fact that I got her to decorate early! She teases me every year about how early I decorate, so I did not gloat at all!
No way, what kinda of friend would that make me!

*I did not do this post at 3 in the morning on Sunday, because I can't sleep! Nope not me, I am sound asleep!

*I did not start my first giveaway this week! You can still get in on the action just go here! That was not a shameless plug for my giveaway, nope I would never do that!!

So that's it for me, what did you not do this week?

The best part of waking up...

This is my favorite Christmas commercial! I commented to my husband how I can't remember seeing it the last couple of years & how much I missed seeing it! So he found it, sent it to me, & now I am sharing it with you! Anybody else remember this one?
And what about you any favorite commercials?

Almost Wordless Wednesday

I couldn't wait any longer...I just couldn't! Monday night we started decorating the house for Christmas! These are pics from 2006 but it looks pretty similar, except that we haven't done the tree's yet!
So enjoy my almost wordless Wednesday...

The mantel that is lit up with white lights in the garland & at night is so pretty!

Momma's tree in the dining room that's all silver!

Our 10 ft family tree in the living room!

The entertainment center that holds the Willow Tree nativity set!
The garland is also lit with clear white lights & just glows at night!

Not Me Monday

My favorite blogging day is here again! MckMama is recovering after having a beautiful HEALTHY baby boy this past week, so she doesn't have NMM up & running but thought I would jump in anyway! So here's my NMM...

*I did not refresh my computer about a million times this last week constantly waiting for new updates about
MckMama & Stellan! And I certainly did not blubber over the miracle of Stellans birth, even though I have never met MckMama!

*I did not devour snack on, some of the kids Halloween candy this weekend, while telling them they shouldn't eat to much candy! I know I am not alone on this one though!!

*I did not take DD to the doctor today & find out he has a double ear infection! I do not feel horrible because he has had a cough for more than a week but I thought it was just the weather! I certainly did not put off going to the doctor just because I didn't think he was that sick! Nope no way I take my kids to the doctor every time they sneeze!

*I am not dying to put up my Christmas decorations! I never put them up the week after Halloween, that would be craziness! I love Christmas but I mean come on, who would do such a thing?

*And finally I am not still reveling in being a SAUCY blog this week on
SITS! I am not by any means loving all the comment love & in the process finding more blogs I am addicted too! Who would get caught up in all that hoopla! Oh yeah...ME!! Thanks again SITS!!!!!
