Thankful Thursday

I have much to be thankful for but I want to update you on Harper! If you remember this post from when I asked for prayer for sweet Harper. She has been in the hospital for 20 days & finally today she gets to go home! I know her whole family is so excited to finally get her home with no wires, tubes, or visiting hours! She is all theirs! I am so thankful to God for his provision & His healing power! Yay for Harper!

Update

I just wanted to post a quick thank you! I can't tell you how much it means to have your love, support, & most of all prayers! I know I have said that before but I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart! Thank you so much again!

Today has been an okay day, I haven't been in much pain today, nothing some drugs couldn't help. This morning I felt good enough to take D-D to playgroup & he had a great time. By the time that was over, it was lunch time & then we had haircuts this afternoon. We have a great friend here that also cuts our hair & our husbands work together at the church. Well they worked together, he just got a great job offer in GA & they are moving. I hate to be losing a great friend & a great hairdresser! So we were over there for our last haircut! I am wondering who in the world I will find who is as good as she is, & not too $$$$$! Anyway I really am just rambling & this was a pointless post but that's Loratab for you.

Thanks & a BIGGER prayer request!

Thank you so much my friends for you sweet words & prayers offered up for me! I can never thank all of you enough for the support I have from women I don't "know". But truth be told, you know me better than some of my best friends. You hear more than I sometime share with them. This is my safe place, my spot to just be me. I don't mind who reads about what I am dealing with, it's my place to be who I want to be! So thank you my friends for being apart of my safe place!




Now on to a much BIGGER request! I came across this blog & had to share it with all of you! This family needs some serious prayers right now! Their beautiful daughter Tuesday was diagnosed last summer with cancer, she has been put through the ringer trying to fight! Now the odds are dim...she is only 2! Here is a piece from the latest blog...

"My deepest fears were confirmed. Tomorrow we take our precious daughter home. Her cancer doubled in size in less than a week proving once and for all that it is horribly aggressive and no longer chemo sensitive. We have no idea how to do this but we have no doubt we will be cared for every step of the way. This is all I have in me. Please pray for peace for our children, our parents and our siblings. Tuesday, full of grace, you are our so very loved."

Ladies, you & I both know the healing power of God! We know that we serve a mighty, wonderful, giving, loving, ultimate physician! He is the giver of life & no one goes until HE says so. Pray for this family, for peace like they asked & for so much more. I can't even imagine the heartache.

I was tagged!

So I was tagged by Sandy to list the things that annoy me! Now let me tell you if I really went into it this would be the longest post in history, so I will try to limit myself! But let me tell you I can complain with the best of them!

*Insurance companies/Doctors offices that don't know how to do their jobs & bill things wrong! I used to work in insurance at an eye doctors office, it's not that hard! The bad thing is I know how they all work, so it ticks them off when I don't give in to their demands! If you would do your job in the first place we wouldn't have this problem!

*Bad driver, I mean come one, I am not claiming to be the best in the world, but 40 mph doesn't mean 20 mph!

*Teenagers, where is the respect? If you see me coming with my 2 kids, you could hold open the door or even better...MOVE! I know it might not make you look "cool" to your friends but later you will be saying the same thing!

*People who don't call me back, I called you for a reason, just do me a favor & return the call! It probably won't take more than 10 minutes out of your busy day but it won't hurt...much!

*Doctors when I take my child in, wait at least an hour, you come in spend 5 minutes to tell me my child has a fever virus & all I can do is give him Motrin/Tylenol & still charge me my copay! Yet I come in & find out my child has a double ear infection & I am given the lecture about bring them in sooner!

I could keep going on & on but I will stop now to switch gears!
Now I want to tell you some of the things I am thankful for...

*My Husband the GD, is an amazing husband & father! I couldn't not have picked a better man to be my partner in life & am so thankful that God brought us together! I truly love him more today than I ever thought was possible, even when he drives me insane!

*My boys are the light of my life, they are the greatest thing that ever happened me! I can't ever imagine a better "job" than being their Mom! They can be whinny & annoying sometimes, but then they look at me & say "Love you Mommy"! Then they are the cutest thing ever!

*My family, I am blessed with an amazing family who is always there for us no matter what! Even though we live far away from most of them, they are always there to help as much as they can! I have amazing parents & could never thank them enough for all they do!

*There is so much more, the health of my family, our home, being able to pay our bills every month, etc.

So while there are many things that drive me crazy, I am so blessed with so much more!
