My Conversation with S-Man

On a trip to Wal-Mart, I had a great conversation with my 5 yr old! We were quietly listening to the local christian radio station.

"Hey S-Man what are you thinking about?"I asked him

"Um, I am thinking about when I grow up!"S-Man said

"Really, what about when you grow up?"I ask

"Just what it will be like to be 'growed up'"S-Man said

"What do you think you want to be when you grow up?"I asked him

"Um, well, I think I want to be like Daddy!"S-Man said

"Well that's a very good thing to want to be, I think you will be good at that!"I said

"What do you think D-D will grow up to be?"S-Man asked me

"I don't know buddy, what do you think D-D will be?"I said

"Um I don't know, do you think Jesus knows?"S-Man asked

"Yep buddy, He does know what D-D will be, He is the only one who knows!"I replied

"Well I guess we will just have to wait on Jesus huh?"S-Man says

"That's right buddy!" I said, taken back at how simple it is to him.

He doesn't know anything different than to just trust Jesus! If only we had that simple mindset still, to just simply trust.

Nothing else...just TRUST!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
